August 29 - 31, 2018
Please join me for a three-day intensive training in parent psychotherapy, a specific discipline with a knowledge base of its own. We will explore psychological and biological underpinnings of parenting, clinical themes in parenting, and how parenting may be affected by attachment, trauma, and neglect.
Illustrated through case examples, we will consider case content, formulations, hypotheses, and intervention strategies. We will practice translating clinical concepts into effective language with adult clients. Participants will be asked to reflect on cases from their own experience as well as those presented in class.
