I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Minneapolis, Minnesota and see
parents and children in my private practice.
I strive to provide thoughtful, informed, individualized services to adults, children, and professionals who are interested in young children and parent/child relationships.
My primary clinical focus is parenting and issues encountered by parents with complex histories. This may include depression, stress, adoption, foster care, trauma, abuse, or neglect.

I use an integrative, developmental perspective in therapy and consultation. That means we think together about how individual and cultural experience interacts with biology to affect how we become the way we are.
This gives us the opportunity to consider numerous ways to make significant, lasting change.
An integrative perspective means that we pay attention to mind, body, and community.
This includes sensory experiences, sleeping, eating, moving, attachment history, substance use, and the impact of stress, trauma, and neglect on physical and emotional well-being.

Parent psychotherapy is a specific discipline with a knowledge base of its own. This introduction will include foundational concepts, such as the evocative nature of parenting, how current adult symptoms may relate to parenting, and how issues related to attachment, loss, trauma, and neglect may appear in parenting. FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS
I am a provider of mental health services for Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medica/UBH, Preferred One, Cigna, and Aetna. I also make financial arrangements with clients and consultees on an individual basis.
